The information of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput killing himself has shaken the Indian film industry. Sushant’s dead body was found at his Bandra home, Mumbai police confirmed. Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Trimukhe confirmed it was a case of suicide and said the Mumbai Police has begun research and investigation.
Sushant Singh Rajput, who made his performing arts – acting debut with Star Plus TV show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), shot to fame with Zee TV’s popular daily soap opera Pavitra Rishta. His role of Manav in the Ekta Kapoor serial earned him quite a few awards including Indian Television Academy Awards and BIG Star Entertainment Awards. Sushant also participated in several reality shows counting Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 where he emerged as the first runner-up. He almost immediately made his transition to Bollywood with Kai Po Che (2013) which got him numerous debut awards.The 34-year-old actor rose to fame with a stellar TV performance in ‘Pavitra Rishta’
He made a spot with his big-screen appearance debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kai Po Che!’ in 2013. And Was appreciated by MS Dhoni for reprising the Captain Cool’s character role on the big screen
Day On Suicide :
Mumbai Police is now investigating the death of the 34-year-old actor as a case of suicide. The police said that the actor had a word to his sister on the telephonic call around 9 am on Sunday. An hour afterward, he had a glass of juice and took his tablets. The police added that the cook knocked several times on his door around 11:30 am to confirm the menu. When the cook and the actor’s two friends who were already staying with him in the house got no response. They then called a key-maker person who helped them to open the door. The friends then rang up his sister and the police.
The Patna-born Rajput became an instant hit with his good looks and boyish charm . When he was noticed in the famous soap on Zee TV’s ‘Pavitra Rishta’ in 2009. He made his Bollywood debut in the friend drama ‘Kai Po Che!’ in 2013, for which he also received a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut. The same year, he was also seen in the romantic comedy ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ 2013. Which was followed by the supposed detective in the action thriller ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ in 2015.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last rites were taken at the Vile Parle crematorium on Monday. He was found dead at his house on Sunday; at the age of 34 was really shock for all the Indians. While some members of his family flew down to Mumbai late Sunday. His father arrived with other family members from Patna on Monday afternoon.
Seen at the funeral, amid heavy rain, were his Chhichhore co-stars Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma, his Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon, and his Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra, among others. Also in attendance was Sushant’s Kedarnath and Kai Po Che director Abhishek Kapoor, who came with his wife, Pragya.
The actor’s body was then taken to the Cooper hospital in Mumbai for a post-mortem. “The provisional reason of death is asphyxia due to hanging,” Abhishek Trimukhe, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), told ANI. While the police have confirmed that Sushant died by suicide, no ‘note’ was found at his residence. Sushant’s team shared a message for his fans: “It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We appeal and heartily request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far. We request media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his condolences on the micro-blogging platform, mourning the demise of ‘a bright young actor gone too soon’. Lauding his rise in the world of entertainment, the PM wrote that Rajput ‘inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances’.
