Apple iPhone 12 Rumors: Release date, 5G predictions, Price 2020

We’re lots of months away from the launch of the 2020 iPhones, which are likely in September 2020, but there are by now multiple rumors about the future devices. We’re expecting the 2020 iPhones to be called the Apple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro if Apple follows the same naming scheme it used for the 2019 iPhone lineup.

The 2020 iPhones will attribute major updates, introducing some of the first design changes that we’ve seen since the iPhone X was released in 2017. We’re expecting four iPhones in three display sizes which could come in at 5.4, 6.7, and 6.1 inches (x2).

Apple’s iPhone 12 series of phones have been leaked pretty a lot of the last few weeks. Now the latest leak claims to have exposed some more information about the line-up.

We’ve heard in the past, Prosser claims that there will be a totality of four new iPhone models released later this year. The line-up will include a base iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max: Expected specs

As for the specs, the Apple iPhone 12 is said to attribute a 5.4-inch Super Retina OLED display and be powered by an Apple A14 Bionic chipset. Apple is said to pair this chipset with 4GB RAM. The phone is said to sport an aluminium body and support 5G. Prosser also claims that there will be a dual-camera setup at the back. The iPhone 12 Max, will feature slightly different specs, with the only difference being the device featuring a larger 6.1-inch Super Retina OLED display.

iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max: Expected specs

The Pro models of the iPhone have been revealed to feature more inspiring hardware. As per the reveal information, the iPhone 12 Pro model will attribute a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED 10-bit display, with the iPhone 12 Pro Max said to bring a bigger 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR Samsung OLED display. Both panels will support 120Hz refresh rate with their PorMotion displays.

iPhone 12 series: Expected price

The major update from the new leak is the pricing of the phones. In his leak, Prosser has laid bare the specs of the devices. Though, he has supplemented that information with the pricing of the devices too.

As per the talks here and there, the iPhone 12 will start retail at $649 for the 128GB variant of the iPhone, with the device also being made accessible in a 256GB variant that will sell for $749. The iPhone 12 Max will also be accessible in the same memory configurations, but pricing will start at $749 and go up to $849 in the US.

The iPhone 12 Pro ! On the other hand, will be available in three variants, with the 128GB one priced at $999. The 256GB variant has been exposed to come with a $1099 price tag. While the top-end 512Gb one is said to be priced at $1,299. The iPhone 12 Pro Max for the same memory and RAM variants will begin retail at $1,099, $1,199 and $1,399.

Powering the two Pro models will again be an Apple A14 Bionic chipset with support for support 5G.

Along with the iPad Pro-style design and size tweaks, leaked reveal Apple’s plans for the device. Also show more than a few other minor design tweaks worth noting, as listed below:

  • One less speaker hole on right side of the speaker grille
  • a little larger camera lenses
  • Thicker antenna lines at the side for 5G
  • Smart Connector-like input on the right
  • Slightly lower power button
  • Left side of the device – SIM tray relocated


Another buzz suggests the iPhone 12 models could appear in light blue, violet, and light orange, among other colors.
